It's so devastating to hear about Shantana's untimely passing. I keep thinking about how dangerous it can be when domestic relationships turn violent. It’s scary because it can happen to anyone, and often people suffer silently before things escalate to such tragic outcomes. The fact that Shantana was so close to achieving her dream of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse makes this even more tragic. She deserved a future filled with opportunities and happiness, not one stolen from her. It's moving to see the community rally together and stand against such violence, but I wish it didn't take a loss like this for people to take notice. My heart goes out to Shanila and the rest of Shantana's family. I hope this case brings more awareness and helps prevent similar tragedies from happening in the future.
