Has anyone else been thinking about the broader issue of mental health in relation to this tragic case? It’s just so devastating to think that if Younge had been able to get the support he needed, maybe Billy and Louise would still be here with us. I keep wondering about the signs that showed up over those two months and whether there were opportunities for intervention. It’s so important to pay attention to changes in behavior, even when there’s no history of violence or threats. My heart goes out to the family—I can't imagine the pain they're facing right now. Maybe this will bring more awareness to mental health resources in our communities.

I can’t wrap my head around this tragedy that transpired in Bridgeton. The Rhoades seemed to be such a loving couple, and from everything I’ve read, there’s no indication they ever had any conflict with their son-in-law. It's incredibly sad to see how mental health issues, particularly those that go untreated or misunderstood, can lead to such devastating outcomes. My thoughts are with the daughter. To escape and then face the loss of both parents and a spouse all in one tragic moment is unimaginable. I hope she has a strong support system to navigate through this unfathomable pain. It just emphasizes how critical mental health resources and interventions are – not just for those suffering, but also for families trying to help loved ones in crisis. It’s also got me thinking about the community as a whole. How do we move forward and protect others in similar situations? If anyone has insights or resources on mental health and crisis intervention, please share. Stay safe, everyone.
