Hey everyone, I can't stop thinking about how much Michael Pride Jr. has impacted our local community. His work with ProjectEx was incredible and so appreciated by many. I remember attending one of his charity events last summer—his passion and kindness were truly infectious. It's hard to comprehend how someone so dedicated to helping others could be taken from us in such a violent way. I'm curious if anyone here knew Michael personally or volunteered with ProjectEx? It would be comforting to hear more personal stories and experiences about the good he brought to people's lives. It's small comfort in the face of this tragedy, but maybe sharing those memories can remind us of the positive difference he made. Sending love and support to Kacie and their kids during this unimaginably difficult time. Let's hope the justice system does its part, and perhaps we can share ways to keep Michael's legacy alive in our community.

I just came across the news about Michael Pride Jr.'s tragic death, and my heart goes out to his family and the entire community. I didn't know him personally, but his work with ProjectEx had such a positive impact around here. It's so hard to comprehend how something like this could happen to someone who devoted his life to helping others. I keep thinking about the long hours he must have spent organizing events, ensuring the homeless had meals, and finding ways to lift others up. It's gut-wrenching to see a life cut short when there's so much good left to give. Seeing the GoFundMe page and how the community is rallying together is at least a beacon of hope in a dark time. For those who knew him or were affected by his kindness, how are you coping with this loss? And does anyone know if there are other ways we can honor his legacy beyond the fundraiser? I'm interested in preserving the memory of what he stood for.
