I can't stop thinking about John Wesley Ingram Jr., "TMF Deuce," and what a tragedy this is for his family and the broader community. By all accounts, he was such a dedicated father and a genuinely good person who loved his family fiercely. It's so hard to wrap my head around the idea that someone who seemed to live for his children and the small joys of life, like playing video games and shooting hoops, could be taken so violently. The community's reaction has really shown how much he meant to everyone, and it's a reminder of how interconnected we all are. The calls for addressing the root causes of violence can't come soon enough. Every step towards a safer community honors John's memory. I'm hoping his family finds some comfort in the love and support surrounding them, and that justice is truly served for them and those three little ones left behind. My thoughts are with all of you from Winston-Salem.
