I'm thinking about Josue's family and how incredibly strong they must be to turn such a devastating loss into a life-saving gift for others. Organ donation is such an impactful and selfless act, and knowing that Josue was able to save seven lives is a testament to the beautiful person he was. It should also remind us that even amidst sorrow and senseless violence, there can be hope and healing. Although nothing can replace what they've lost, I hope Josue's family finds some comfort in the lives he saved and the legacy he leaves behind. It's just so senseless how gun violence continues to steal young lives with so much potential. Let’s keep Josue’s memory alive by advocating for change and supporting initiatives to combat gun violence. The Bronx deserves to see its youth grow into their dreams, not mourn them. My heart is with everyone affected by this tragedy.
