I've been following the Ernest Wilson case from Peekskill, and one aspect I find particularly distressing is the impact witnessing such a traumatic event might have on his children. These young ones, having seen their father in such a horrific situation, will carry this moment with them for life. I can't even begin to imagine how they're coping. It's heartbreaking to think their last memory with him was marred by such violence. The community and the family must rally around these kids to provide them with the support they need, and I sincerely hope they’ve been surrounded by love and care since this tragedy. Therapy and a strong support system will be vital in helping them process this trauma and find a path towards healing. My thoughts are with them and the entire Wilson family.

I can't stop thinking about how devastating it must be for Ernest Wilson's children to have witnessed such an awful event. It's unimaginable to process how their father's attempt at a simple greeting turned into their worst nightmare. I hope that they have a strong support system around them because facing something like this at such young ages can have long-term impacts. Peekskill's community should rally around these kids and their family, not just now but in the years to come. I also want to acknowledge the swift actions of law enforcement in apprehending the suspect. Bringing some measure of justice, while it doesn't undo the pain, might provide a starting point for others to heal. Sending strength to everyone impacted by this.
