Hi everyone, I wanted to bring some attention to something that's been frustrating me about Jovonta Mayes' case. From what I've read, the investigation seems to have hit a dead end, but what about community engagement? It feels like there could be more collaboration with local activists and organizations who are tackling youth violence in Atlanta. They often have the trust of the community and might be able to bring forward information or witnesses who haven't come to law enforcement yet. It breaks my heart to see Jovonta’s family having to navigate this with so little resolution. For those familiar with the area, are there any local groups that were pushing for more visibility for cases like this back in 2011? Maybe there's a renewed interest or effort we could tap into now. Any thoughts? Sending love and strength to Jovonta’s loved ones.
