I can't stop thinking about the immense pain Dakota's family must be going through with the whole situation surrounding his passing. I've been following this case closely, and the one thing that stands out to me is Dakota’s involvement with the kids at Lee’s Summit Elementary. From what I've read, he was incredibly passionate about volunteering there, and I can only imagine the positive impact he had on those kids. It breaks my heart to think about those little ones who might not fully understand what happened to the "big kid" they looked up to. The fact that he was just days away from graduating makes this even more tragic. I think about how he’d be right around helping kids with their school work or maybe even marching across the graduation stage himself. Those moments he could have experienced are now gone, and it's just so unfair. Sending so much love and strength to everyone affected, especially those who are feeling the emptiness in the classrooms and at Panera where Dakota worked. We'll keep remembering him for the joy he brought to everyone.

I can't stop thinking about the impact Dakota had on the kids he volunteered with at Lee’s Summit Elementary. It's devastating to think that those young students lost such a positive role model. Dakota seemed like the kind of person who gave so much of himself to others, showing kindness and enthusiasm that undoubtedly touched many lives. It must be incredibly hard for those kids to process what happened. His influence on them was probably much greater than he ever realized, inspiring them with his energy and passions. I wish the legal system had provided more justice for Dakota and his family. It's so important that his legacy continues and his impact is remembered.

I was absolutely shocked when I saw how the legal system handled Dakota's case. Only five days served? I can't even begin to fathom how Dakota's parents, Aaron and Brandy, must be feeling. This young man's potential was just starting to unfold, and his life was taken under such tragic circumstances. It's a reminder of the urgent need for more substantial consequences in cases like this. A young life full of dreams and kindness was cut short — a senior who was almost at the finish line of high school. Dakota's love for Disney and his volunteer work show what a valuable member of the community he was. My heart truly goes out to everyone grieving this irreplaceable loss.
