Just heard about the tragic loss of Jerome Gooden at that Circle K in Maryland Heights. It makes you wonder what led up to an encounter so heated it ended in gunfire. I mean, how does a disagreement with a store attendant turn into something so deadly? My heart goes out to Jerome's family and friends. No one expects a simple trip to a gas station to be their last. Hoping that justice is served and that this raises more awareness about conflict resolution. The effect on the community must be so profound, especially when it's the first homicide of the year. Thoughts and prayers with Maryland Heights tonight.
