I came across William Diego's missing person case again today, and it got me thinking about the role that social media plays in these investigations. I wonder if William or his friends were active online and if LE has been able to tap into those channels for any clues? With so many teens on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, there could be a wealth of information just waiting to be uncovered. It’s frustrating when we don't hear about those behind-the-scenes efforts. Anyone know if local authorities in Morganton collaborate with social media companies in missing persons cases? Seems like a potentially crucial angle!
I was looking into some details about William Pedro Diego’s case, and I came across a couple of local reports from right around the time he went missing. There isn’t a lot of info in the mainstream news, but there were mentions of search efforts in some wooded areas not far from Morganton. Does anyone know if they’ve done any follow-up searches there recently? It seems strange that there haven’t been any significant updates for a while. Also, does anyone here on the forum have experience with cases in North Carolina? Curious how persistent the local authorities are with these search efforts. Hoping for any bit of new information on William's case.
Did anyone else notice that William Pedro Diego's disappearance hasn't gotten much media attention? It's frustrating when cases like this don't get the coverage they need to hopefully bring in some new tips or leads. I know the police are working on it, but sometimes public attention can make a huge difference. I understand not all details can be shared, but I wish there were some updates to keep his story in the public eye. Maybe more awareness in the community could help? If anyone is local to Morganton, have there been any community efforts or searches organized recently that the rest of us can support?
