I came across the tragic case of Carmelo Rodriguez while reading about crime in Elizabeth, and my heart goes out to his family. I can't help but wonder about the community's reaction to having another shooting so quickly into the new year. It must be terrifying for those living in that area to have to constantly look over their shoulders. Has anyone heard anything from local witnesses, or about what steps are being taken to ensure the safety of residents around Mary and Walnut streets? It's chilling to think that the suspect is still at large and could potentially harm someone else. Anyone in the area, please stay safe and vigilant. It's crucial that the community comes together to support Carmelo's loved ones and push for justice.
