I'm still struggling to come to terms with the devastating news about the Voorhees-Ventricelli family. It's incredibly difficult to understand how something like this could happen in a community where they seemed so well-loved and involved. I've been trying to focus on the positive memories and the impact they had on others. I read about the memorial fund set up to help with Kellie's parents' home and funeral expenses. It's a small comfort to know that even in grief, the community is coming together to support them. Kellie was clearly a special person, devoted to the kids she cared for at Hillside Preschool. Her warmth and kindness are echoed in every story shared about her. And Anthony... it breaks my heart to think of his potential and the future he had ahead. He was such an integral part of the Roxbury High School community, especially with the football team. I can only hope that the counseling services provided are helping his classmates and teammates navigate this heavy loss. Does anyone know if there's any way we can further support the family or the school community during this time? Every little bit helps to show we're still standing with them.
