Detectives mentioned that the surviving woman was able to give them a detailed account of what happened despite her severe injuries. This is so brave of her, and it's haunting to think of the terror she must have felt, pretending to be dead to stay alive. When I read that she had to communicate with the police using a whiteboard, my heart just goes out to her. Her resilience is unbelievable. I can’t even imagine the recovery process she's going through, not just physically but emotionally as well. I hope she’s surrounded by a strong support system and getting all the help she needs to heal. It's hard not to think about how this will affect her life moving forward.
