I’ve been following Bruce Allen Weir’s case, and I keep thinking about the circumstances around the group home where he lived. How is it possible for someone with his challenges to just sign themselves out without anyone stepping in? Was there a lapse in supervision or protocol by the staff? I can’t shake the feeling that there might be more to the group home’s side of the story that hasn’t been looked into yet. Maybe it’s just standard procedure, but it seems unusual given his condition. Does anyone have experience with how such facilities operate regarding the sign-out process, especially for those who might not fully understand the consequences? Any insights would be helpful.
