Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Daquan Jac'Kie Lamark Mayo, and it's just been on my mind a lot lately. It’s incredibly distressing to hear of another young life taken too soon. I wanted to discuss how affected I am by the community's response in Richmond. Seeing the way his family, especially his aunt Demetrius Smith, has gathered strength to push for justice is truly moving. It takes such courage to call for answers and try to prevent this from happening to others, even while they are grieving deeply. Their GoFundMe, "Justice4daquan," really shows the love and support coming from friends, neighbors, and even strangers who have been touched by this tragedy. It’s comforting to witness such solidarity in times like this. The absence of any arrests continues to haunt me, and I can't imagine the pain Daquan's family faces without closure. I truly hope anyone with information comes forward, not just for justice, but for a sense of peace for those left behind. Sending my thoughts to all of Daquan’s loved ones. ?
