I can’t stop thinking about how devastating this incident must be for the community of Allendale and the families of Herrinda and Parris. Security cameras caught such a chilling chain of events; it’s unfathomable to imagine what they went through in those final moments. The fact that the suspect, Hartzog, claims self-defense raises so many questions, but the lack of details from officials just adds more confusion and frustration. My heart truly goes out to both families. It’s tragic that two women had their lives cut short in such a violent manner, and I sincerely hope justice is served. Does anyone else have any insight into the self-defense claim or what might have led to this terrible incident? It’s so important that we understand what happened to hopefully prevent something like this from happening again.
Does anyone else get chills thinking about the security footage from that Exxon station? I can’t imagine how haunting it must be for the family and friends of Herrinda and Parris to know part of their last moments are captured like that. It’s so hard to wrap my head around someone being driven to commit such violence, especially in such a public space. It’s truly a nightmare scenario. Also, what’s concerning is how the footage seems to show that they barely made it out of the car before being attacked. It’s just so senseless and devastating for everyone involved. I really hope that justice is served swiftly. Sending love and strength to all those affected.
