I recently read about the tragic incident that occurred at the 787 Bar & Grill, and my heart goes out to the families and friends of Antonio Patterson and Donald Jackson. It's so unsettling to think about how an argument could escalate so quickly and end in such a devastating way. I'm particularly wondering about the role of the security guard in this situation. It must have been a terrifying moment for everyone involved, and I can’t imagine the weight the guard carries after these events.
I'm curious to know if the bar has commented on any changes they'll be making to their security protocols going forward. Does anyone know if they’ve addressed this publicly or if the community has called for any specific measures? Keeping bars and places of social gathering safe is so important, especially when we are still reeling from the loss of two young lives. My thoughts are with the Patterson and Jackson families during this incredibly difficult time.
I keep thinking about the security guard in this case. It must have been an incredibly difficult situation to be in. Being in a position where you're responsible for the safety of others is tough, and having to make a split-second decision like that is unimaginable. I can't help but wonder about the impact this has had on his life. I hope he's getting the necessary support, both emotionally and legally, to process everything. It seems clear that he was just trying to protect others, but I imagine the whole experience is haunting. My thoughts go out to him and everyone involved—the victims' families, the staff at 787 Bar & Grill, and those who witnessed such a devastating event. It's a reminder of how quickly things can escalate and the lasting impact it can have on so many lives.
