My beautiful lovely big brother I love and miss you so much. I will never stop fighting for you! I’m so sorry I wish I could have protected you. God himself has to carry me through the days. God himself will seek vengeance on your behalf. I have tried to call atlanta homicide and seek information I have physically went to the homicide office by myself I went to the apartments where you were murdered by myself and it hurt so bad. I will fight for you even if it’s by myself. You raised me and taught me everything. You are my everything! I love you. from your little sister Shannon Dickerson.

Shannon, I’m so sorry. Your love for your brother is so clear, and I can’t imagine how heavy it’s been to keep pushing for answers on your own. If it helps at all, one thing that sometimes makes it easier to get clear information from Atlanta Police is having the case number in front of you when you call or visit, and if you don’t have it you can request the incident report through APD Open Records to at least confirm the basics and get whatever they’re allowed to release. When you reach homicide, you can ask directly for the assigned investigator or a supervisor and request a simple status update, even if it’s only whether the case is considered active and whether there’s a best way to submit new information. If anyone has tips, Crime Stoppers Atlanta is also an option for sharing information confidentially. I’m holding space for you and your family, Shannon—he matters, and you’re not wrong for continuing to fight for him.

Hey everyone, I've been reading a lot about Deondre Dickerson's case, and one thing that really strikes me is how frustrating it must be for his family with no clear answers after all this time. I can't imagine the pain of losing someone so young and vibrant, and then having to endure years of uncertainty on top of that.
The lack of witnesses or evidence seems to be a common thread with these unsolved cases from 2016. It makes me wonder if potential witnesses are afraid to come forward because of possible repercussions. I hope the anonymity of tip lines encourages more people to share anything they might know, even if it's just a small detail.
Also, I'm curious if anyone has seen similar initiatives like "Operation Whiplash" actually making a difference in other cities? I really hope the increased focus on these cold cases will finally bring some resolution to Deondre’s family and the many others who are still waiting for justice.
Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Deondre Dickerson? I just keep thinking about his family and the heartbreak they've endured all these years without answers. I read that his murder happened during a particularly violent year in Atlanta, and it's still unsolved. It’s so frustrating to think about how many families are in the same situation.
The authorities mentioned that they believed Deondre was targeted, which feels particularly haunting. What could have possibly happened? It’s unnerving to know that despite initiatives by the police, like "Operation Whiplash," his case and others like it remain unresolved.
If anyone has information, no matter how small, I hope they feel compelled to step forward. It's been too long for Deondre’s loved ones to be without closure. Let’s keep discussing and raising awareness until these cases get the attention and resolution they deserve.
