I’ve been thinking a lot about the role the community played in searching for Ebony Owens. It’s profound to see so many people coming together, sacrificing their time and resources to help find her. In situations like these, it often feels like there’s so little we can do, but seeing the search efforts really brings a sense of hope and solidarity among everyone involved. It warms my heart that people came out day after day to search along the river, not giving up until they found her. The strength and resilience of her loved ones and even strangers who just wanted to help is truly inspiring. My thoughts are with Ebony's family as they navigate through this incredibly difficult time. I hope they feel supported by the community's efforts and know they have many people standing with them in their pursuit of justice for Ebony.
Did anyone else catch the part about Ebony's car being found burned in that secluded spot? I can't stop thinking about what kind of person would do something so calculated. I was just reading about how many domestic violence cases involve things like arson as a way to cover up evidence or terrify the victim. It makes me so angry and sad for Ebony and her loved ones, especially her children. It's a chilling reminder that sometimes the people we're supposed to trust the most can be the biggest threats to our safety. I hope that by talking about it, even in forums like this, it helps raise awareness and support for those in similar situations. Sending all my thoughts to her family during this unimaginably difficult time.
