Hey everyone,
I've been delving into the Virginia Mary Ries case from 1979, and something that's been puzzling me is the location where her remains were found. It makes me wonder how often people passed by that median on I-75 without realizing what was hidden just out of sight. There had to be a reason the perpetrator chose such a secluded yet accessible spot. Was it out of desperation or maybe local knowledge of the area?
It’s chilling to think about how her disappearance didn't get much attention until after her remains were found. It must have been incredibly difficult for her family, waiting with little information and nothing to point them toward answers.
One point that stands out is the potential for breakthroughs with modern forensic technology. We’ve seen cold cases solved after decades thanks to DNA advancements, so there’s hope yet for Virginia and many others like her. If there's anyone with old memories or tidbits they might think are minor, now's the time to come forward. Every detail could bring us closer to understanding what happened on that fateful day.
My thoughts are with Virginia's family, and I hope they find peace and justice soon.
Stay safe out there.
Hi everyone,

Has anyone else taken a closer look at the location where Virginia Ries's remains were found? It strikes me as chilling that someone would choose a wooded median along a busy Interstate as a place to dispose of her body. It almost feels like the person was familiar with the area and knew it would be some time before she was discovered.

This makes me wonder whether the perpetrator could have had some kind of connection to that area or was just passing through. Interstates see a lot of transient traffic, which might suggest she was killed by someone who was just as transient. But at the same time, the precise location choice seems almost too calculated.

My thoughts and prayers remain with Virginia's family. It must be so difficult not having answers all these years later. Hopefully new developments in forensic technology might finally shed some light on this tragic case.
