Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic story of Dominique Jawan Ward, and I wanted to talk a bit about the impact of youth violence in Flint. The whole situation just breaks my heart for Dominique's family and the community. I think it's really important to focus on how we can prevent these tragedies from happening in the future. As many of you have mentioned, it's clear that violence among young people in the area is a serious issue. The community is understandably on edge with incidents like these becoming more common. I can't help but wonder what steps local authorities or community programs can take to better support vulnerable youth and prevent situations from escalating to violence. Dominique was so young and had his whole life ahead of him. It's a painful reminder of how urgent it is to bring about change. I really hope the community can come together during the funeral services on July 8th to not only remember him but to mobilize and find solutions. If anyone knows of organizations working to combat gun violence or to support at-risk youth in Flint, please share. It'd be good to highlight the resources available for those who need them most. Thinking of Dominique's family and holding them close in my thoughts during this unimaginably difficult time.
