Hey everyone, I recently started diving deeper into David Strahota’s case, and I can’t help but wonder about the timeline between when he was last seen and when he was reported missing. Why did it take until March 2022 for someone to report him missing? That’s a solid four months of lost time that could have been crucial in finding him or gathering fresh leads.
Could it be that his friends just assumed he extended his hunting trip, or maybe there was some miscommunication among those who last saw him? I find it odd since being vague about his plans doesn’t seem that out of character for him, but still, four months seems like a long time. If he had health issues, wouldn’t that have raised red flags sooner?
I wonder if anyone in this community has more details about why there was such a delay. Did any searches happen before March on a more informal level? Maybe friends or family tried reaching out to hunting spots or lodges? I'm hoping some of you might have more insights or even ideas on how this could have been handled differently.
