Did anyone else notice the strange lack of eyewitness reports in the case of Kashay Tanae Davis and Navontay Whitener? Given that the shooting happened in such a prominent area of Mount Vernon and at a time when there are usually at least a few people out and about, it seems odd that we haven't heard about more witnesses. ? You'd think someone might have seen or heard something, especially with it being during the summer when people might be wandering around late after heading out with friends. I can't help but wonder if maybe folks who might've seen something are just too scared to come forward, especially with the kind of reprisals you hear about in these situations. If anyone local has any thoughts or possibly ways to help the police safely gather info, it would be great to hear from you. This is just so awful for their families, and they deserve some peace and answers. ?
