It's so tragic to lose another young life to such senseless violence. I didn’t know Jalen personally, but he was spoken of so fondly by some friends of mine. They always joked about how he got the nickname "Scooby" because of his love for Scooby-Doo when he was younger; it seems like he was a fun and lovable guy. This incident makes me wonder about what could have possibly led to such a tragic night. It’s frightening how quickly things can escalate into gun violence. My thoughts are with Jalen’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. I truly hope the community rallies together to support them and help bring the person (or people) responsible for this violence to justice. If anyone knows something, please come forward.
