I still can't wrap my head around the loss of Doug Smith. I've been following this case closely, and my heart goes out to his family and all those at Hobby Lobby who worked with him. I came across some discussions about how much Doug loved the St. Louis Cardinals. It got me thinking, sometimes you can learn a lot about a person by what they hold dear, and it's just touching how much his colleagues respected and admired him, not just for his work ethic but for who he was as a person. It's these little moments and interests, like cheering for a baseball team, that really highlight the kind of warm, genuine person he was. It's such a devastating time for those closest to him, but I hope they find some comfort in remembering the joyful memories they shared with Doug.
