I’ve been thinking a lot about the bravery it must have taken for Joshua to try and leave that chaotic situation. It's absolutely heartbreaking that a night that was supposed to be fun turned into such a tragedy. I can't even begin to imagine what his family is going through, not only losing him in such a sudden and violent way but also having to piece together the details of that night on their own. It must be agonizing to wait for updates from the police. You see these stories over and over, and it really makes you wish for stronger interventions or community actions to prevent these kinds of incidents. My heart goes out to his family and friends; I hope they get the answers they need and the justice Joshua deserves.
