I’ve been reading through the details of the tragic events surrounding Tara Nicole Barnett-Underwood and Taylor Sharp’s murder, and it’s such a devastating loss for their families and the community. The fact that LaFerry's Propane was demolished recently is hitting hard. It's odd how a building, a place of work, can hold so many memories, both good and heartbreakingly bad, and then one day it's just gone. For those in Gans, having that physical place erased might help in moving forward, but it's no doubt stirring up all those raw emotions again. What’s really touching is seeing the community’s response in supporting the families. The fundraiser speaks volumes about the strength and compassion that exists in Gans. It’s an awful reason to come together, but it also shows that in the darkest times, people really do look out for each other. I hope this act of kindness gives some comfort to Tara and Taylor’s loved ones in their grieving. Does anyone have the details on what finally led to Stacy Lee Drake's arrest? And how are Tara’s family keeping up with all this? I can't imagine how overwhelming it all must be for them.
