It's so troubling to read about Alisia's case, especially knowing how quickly life can change for a young mother just trying to build her future. It makes you wonder what was going on in her mind to commit such a brutal act and then express a desire to attend Alisia's funeral. Those poor bystanders, too, who witnessed such a traumatic scene and were threatened themselves — it's all so disturbing. It seems there were earlier signs of escalation too, with the incident on January 1. It’s shocking that it would reach this point. Had there been more intervention after the January assault, could this have been prevented? This isn’t just an isolated incident; it was a pattern that sadly ended with a young woman’s life stolen from her daughter and family. My heart goes out to all who are grieving Alisia's loss, especially little Mariah, who now has to grow up without her mom. I hope justice is served, and that society learns from this senseless tragedy.
