Has anyone else been following the tragic shooting of Kevin Smith? I’m really struggling to wrap my head around it. It's a concern that no arrests have been made yet, especially given how respected Kevin was in the community. From what I've gathered, he was trying to make the best of his situation, being part of small communities like the one at the United Methodist Church. I can't help but wonder about the 911 calls and how it all unfolded so quickly. It feels like there was a major breakdown somewhere in communication or understanding. I'm all for people defending their homes, but hearing that five shots were fired really troubles me. With so many questions still unanswered, the community deserves transparency about this case. To those who knew Kevin, my heart goes out to you. It’s unnerving to think that such things can happen in our neighborhoods. I hope we see some positive action come from this—whether in the form of better community support for the homeless or transparency from law enforcement. Let’s keep pushing for answers and remember the person Kevin was.
