I recently came across Wayne Wilson's case and couldn't help but feel for his family and friends, who have been waiting for answers for far too long. It's commendable that the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has set up a Cold Case Unit to breathe new life into cases like Wayne's. I wonder if they might have any success with podcasts or media coverage sparking new interest or leads. Sometimes getting these stories out there can jog memories or encourage people who might know something to speak up. Does anyone think the increased media presence has a significant impact on solving these cold cases? Sending thoughts of strength and hope to everyone who loved Wayne.

I was reading about Wayne Wilson, and it's just so frustrating to see another young life taken with no answers years later. I can't even imagine what his family is going through, not knowing who did this or why. It really makes you think about how many families in Jacksonville are in the same boat, waiting for some lead or break in these seemingly unsolvable cases. I wonder how much of Wayne's case was affected by the issues Jacksonville faced back then. With the crack epidemic's impact, along with minimal technology for collecting evidence, it's like these cases had the odds stacked against them from the beginning. It's good to know that the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is actively working on these cold cases. The Cold Case Unit seems promising, especially with modern forensics at their disposal now. I hope anyone out there with any information, no matter how small it might seem, steps up and shares what they know. We can only imagine how much it could help bring closure to Wayne's loved ones and the many others waiting for justice.
