It's so difficult to understand how someone could commit such an unthinkable act in broad daylight, right in front of witnesses. I've been reading up on Katelyn Mae Puckett's case and it just hit me how brazen her ex was to approach her like that. It's terrifying to think about how quickly situations can escalate when someone is determined to commit harm. I keep thinking about the witnesses who were present during this horrifying moment. It must be incredibly difficult for them to process what they saw. They were just going about their day and then suddenly thrown into such a traumatic situation. I hope they have the support they need, as it can't be easy to move past witnessing something so violent. Katelyn sounded like such a vibrant person who had so much to offer. Her love for her community and passion for singing and the outdoors just shows how full of life she was. My heart goes out to everyone affected by her loss. We can only hope that the justice system’s decision brings some measure of peace to her loved ones.
