Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the brave first responders who dealt with the aftermath of the tragic shooting on East Mound Street. The fact that Alberto DeLeon and Nicholas Ealy's lives were cut short in such a devastating manner must have been incredibly traumatic for those who arrived at the scene. I can’t even begin to imagine what they had to go through while trying to ensure the safety of nearby residents and preserving the crime scene. It's easy to forget these individuals often see the worst of humanity, yet they consistently show up to serve the community. It’s just so important that they receive the support and resources they need to cope with these situations. Hopefully, this incident prompts some fruitful discussions on how we can better protect our communities and the individuals who risk their lives to keep us safe. Thoughts are with the DeLeon and Ealy families as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. If anyone in Columbus has info on supporting first responders in the area, please share. We could all benefit from understanding how to help them, just as they help us. Take care, everyone.

Has anyone else been thinking about the community impact following the tragic events on East Mound Street? It’s just so unsettling to me how two lives were taken in broad daylight. I’ve been hearing from local folks that this area was already on edge before the incident, but this seems to have really shaken everyone. It’s worrying how something like this can disrupt the sense of safety we all deserve. I feel deeply for the families of Alberto DeLeon and Nicholas Ealy—no one should have to go through this. It’s good to know that Anthony Bogins has been apprehended, but I hope it brings some peace to the community as well. It’s so important that we come together to support each other during times like these and work toward preventing further violence. Does anyone know if there are any community meetings or local initiatives being organized in response to these events? Sending love and strength to everyone affected.
