Does anyone else feel frustrated by the lack of progress in Corey LaShawn Lloyd's case? I've been going through some of the older discussions and records, and it's so disheartening that we still don't seem to have any concrete answers. I can't even begin to imagine what his family and especially his wife, Angel, must be going through as they wait for justice. It's been over a decade, and I really hope with the push and support from the community, more information will come to light. If anyone has insights or connections with ongoing initiatives in Jacksonville addressing these unsolved homicides, please share here. We need to keep these conversations alive for Corey and everyone else who has been affected by these kinds of tragedies.
Has anyone else been following the Corey LaShawn Lloyd case? It's such a devastating situation, and my heart truly goes out to his family. I can't even begin to imagine what they’re going through. I’ve been reading about the homicide rates in Jacksonville during that time, and it's shocking how many families must have dealt with similar tragedies.
One thing I'm curious about is how these cases are being revisited over time. The JSO uses the NIBRS to track all these incidents, but how effective has this system been for older cases like Corey's? I wonder if the local community feels like they have enough support or resources to help push investigations forward.
If anyone has any insights or knows about similar cases that got resolved after years, please share. It might give Corey’s family and others like them some hope. Let’s keep discussing and bring more attention to these unresolved cases.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following Corey's case and something really caught my attention that I was hoping we could discuss further. I came across how Corey’s community in Jacksonville was rallying around his family, which shows how tight-knit they were, but it's also sad that they were dealing with so much during that time.
What strikes me is how the JSO relied on the community to provide tips through the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). This seems to be a recurring theme in many unsolved cases. I wonder how effective these systems have been over the years in actually leading to arrests and convictions. Do you think community involvement like this has improved the outcomes in similar cases since 2007?
It's clear that Corey was loved by his family and friends, and you could see in their tributes how much he meant to them. They deserve answers, and I hope sharing thoughts and insights here might help in keeping Corey's memory alive and urging people to come forward with anything they might know.
Would love to hear what everyone thinks about community role in solving these cases or if there's been any noticeable changes since then.
Stay safe, everyone.
