Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up something that stood out to me about Jashai Benson's case. I was reading about the community vigil that took place after her tragic death. It's really moving to see the Youngstown community come together in such a powerful way. Vigils can be a vital part of healing and expressing solidarity, but they also serve another crucial purpose—they remind us of the immediate need for change. From what I gathered, there were a lot of heartfelt calls for an end to gun violence. It feels like a critical moment for the community, to not only remember those lost like Jashai and Damion Lake but to instigate real action and prevent such senseless tragedies in the future. Does anyone know if there's been any movement towards more preventive measures or community initiatives following the vigil? I really hope some good can emerge out of this awful situation and that the voices calling for justice are being heard. Sending love to Jashai’s family and everyone affected by this terrible loss.
