I'm saddened by the loss of Michael James, and my thoughts are with his friends and family during this unimaginably difficult time. What has been really weighing on my mind is how this happened around 1 p.m., in broad daylight. I mean, Brookline Avenue is not deserted, and it makes me wonder if there were more witnesses who saw something but haven't come forward yet. It's scary to think that such a brazen act occurred when people could have been just going about their daily routines.
I truly believe that any small detail can make a big difference in cases like these. Hopefully, the community can come together to share anything that might assist in getting justice for Michael. It’s so important that we all feel safe in our neighborhoods, and that starts with standing up against violence and supporting each other in the face of tragedy.

I’ve been reading through the details of Michael James’ case, and something that’s been on my mind is the timing of when he was shot. Do you think there's any possibility that the gunshots caused the crash, or did it happen the other way around? It’s so devastating to think of his family not only having to face his loss but also all these uncertainties around what exactly happened that day.
