I keep thinking about how horrifying it must have been for the passer-by who found Gregory Hairston and Clomie Lynn Mayberry. I can't even imagine stumbling upon something so tragic on an early morning walk. My heart goes out to not just the victims and their families, but also that witness whose life was surely impacted by this discovery. It’s so unsettling to think about how violence can erupt in places we consider safe spaces, like a community park. I hope someone comes forward with information soon, both to provide closure for the families and to prevent anything like this from happening again. Stay safe, everyone.
