I’ve been thinking a lot about the involvement of the local schools in supporting the kids affected by Dominic's tragic death. With Dominic being a student at Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy, it makes me wonder how the schools in the area are handling the emotional impacts on these children. I can’t imagine what it's like for his friends and classmates returning to school without him there. Do any community members or parents here know if the schools have implemented specific counseling resources or programs to help the kids process this trauma? It's critical to provide a safe space for these young minds to speak about their feelings and fears, especially when the violence hits so close to home. I feel for the teachers and staff too, who are probably struggling with their own emotions while trying to support their students. If anyone has insight into what's being done or suggestions for what more can be done, it would be great to share that here. It's so important to foster a caring environment for healing, for both the kids and adults impacted by this senseless act.
