Hey everyone. I’ve been following Morrell Fontenot’s case and can't stop thinking about his family, especially since the visitation just happened. It must’ve been incredibly difficult for them, having to say goodbye in such a sudden and tragic manner.
Something that’s really puzzling to me is the location of the shooting. The 2800 block of Salem Avenue isn't far from the Arby’s, and it's such a well-trafficked area even late at night. You’d think there might be more witnesses or security footage available. I wonder if any businesses nearby might have caught something on their cameras. It just feels like there should be more leads or clues.
Dayton PD is asking for public assistance, and I hope that someone who knows anything will come forward. Even the smallest detail could be the key to finding out what happened to Morrell. Sending thoughts to his family and praying for some answers soon.
It truly sends chills down my spine to think that such a violent act could happen so close to a place many of us visit without a second thought. I’ve often gone to that Arby’s on Salem Avenue, and it's unsettling to know that a life was taken there. Morrell seemed to be a beloved member of his community, constantly described by friends and family as someone full of life and kindness. My thoughts are with those who loved him. This makes me wonder about the security in areas we usually consider safe. Has anyone heard about any potential leads in the investigation? It's frustrating that there haven’t been any arrests yet. Any locals here know if there's been an increase in police presence in the neighborhood since this tragedy?
