I want to focus on something I haven't seen mentioned much yet: the peace vigils and memorials held in BJ's honor. It’s truly touching to see the community coming together to remember him and support his family through this difficult time. It's a reflection of how loved he was by everyone who knew him. Friends and neighbors have shared beautiful stories about his vibrant personality and how he always had a way of making people smile. It’s sad that we need to gather under such tragic circumstances, but it also highlights the resilience and compassion of our community rallying for change against the gun violence affecting too many lives. Seeing people unite, lighting candles, sharing memories—it’s a powerful reminder of BJ’s impact and also a call to action for better safety measures. I hope the investigation brings justice swiftly and that we honor BJ's memory by working towards a safer city.

It's really saddening to hear about BJ's passing. I didn't know him personally, but from everything I've read, it sounds like he was an incredible person who touched the lives of so many people in Albuquerque. One thing I found particularly moving was the way the community came together to hold vigils and memorials in his honor. It speaks volumes about the impact he had on those around him. I'm hoping that the increased attention on safety measures brings some positive changes to the area. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this unimaginable time. If anyone has been part of or attended these vigils, I would love to hear more about them and how the community is being supported.
