It’s so hard to make sense of tragedies like the loss of JJ Ortega. What struck me most is the impact his death has had on his community in Albuquerque. It seems like there's a real outpouring of love and memories being shared on the memorial websites that have been set up. Even though I didn’t know JJ personally, it’s obvious how much he meant to those around him. Losing someone to gun violence is unimaginable, and my heart really goes out to his friends and family as they navigate through this difficult time. I hope that through these shared stories and condolences, his loved ones find some comfort and strength. It’s important we keep discussing these senseless acts and support one another in seeking justice for JJ.
