Did anyone else find it puzzling how quickly the jury reached a not guilty verdict in Xavier Altamirano's case? From what I understand, self-defense can be a tricky thing to prove, especially since it can all come down to the perception of threat, which isn’t always so clear-cut. It’s such a devastating situation for Steven Alarcon's family to endure. Honestly, the whole thing seems like a mess all around. It’s hard to imagine how the families on both sides are coping. Has there been any reaction from the community or statements from the family of Steven Alarcon since the verdict? Keeping them all in my thoughts.
