Has anyone looked into the letters Anthony Polito sent before the shooting? I can't stop thinking about what he might have said in them. Were they threats, or maybe pleas for help that went unnoticed? It's chilling to think about the state of mind someone must be in to write to 22 different people right before doing something so tragic. My heart goes out to Dr. Takemaru’s family, friends, and colleagues. She seemed like an incredible person who touched many lives, and it's such a loss for everyone at UNLV and beyond. It also makes me wonder about the kind of support systems in place for struggling academics. Could someone or something have made a difference here?
