Has anyone else looked into the area Don Mayer was last seen? I recently came across some old newspaper articles from 1997 that talked about increased crime rates in Bellingham around that time. It's a stretch, but I'm wondering if there's a connection between his disappearance and some of these crimes. Maybe it points to a specific suspect or circumstance that was overlooked. It's frustrating how cases can go cold for so long, and any little piece of information might be what leads to a breakthrough. Would love to hear thoughts or additional insights from anyone familiar with the area or the time period.
