Hi everyone, I’ve been following the tragic case of Langston Emanuel Lewis, and something I find absolutely gut-wrenching is how this impacts the younger generation in New Orleans. It’s awful to think about the kids who might have looked up to him or the youth he might have had a chance to inspire had his path not been so cruelly interrupted. They’re growing up in an environment where gun violence is often normalized, and this really emphasizes the urgent need for change. Lewis's death is a powerful reminder of the essential need for role models who can guide and uplift these young minds, and his loss creates a void that isn’t easily filled. From what I've read about him, it seems he could have played that role for many. It's crucial that we support initiatives that aim at providing safe spaces and positive influences for them. Langston deserved a future, and so do they. Sending my heartfelt thoughts to his family and friends during this difficult time.
