Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the tragic story of Joshua Ryan Calk, and I keep coming back to something that really highlights the kind of person he was. Joshua served as the department head of genealogy at the Broadmoor Branch of Shreve Memorial Library. It’s clear he had such a profound interest in history and community, and this passion allowed him to connect with others on a meaningful level.
His work at the library must have been a beacon for those looking into their own family histories, providing them guidance and insight but also a sense of belonging and identity. It's truly moving to know that amidst his busy life and career as a Petroleum Landman, he gave his time to his community in such a valuable way.
Losing someone with such a giving spirit is incredibly difficult. My thoughts go out to his family, especially his wife and son, who must be grappling with this unimaginable loss. The strength they’ve shown in these tough times, carrying on his legacy and compassion, is really touching.
If anyone has more stories or memories of Joshua’s impact through his work or otherwise, I’d love to hear them. Wishing all victims' families comfort and peace as they navigate through their grief.
