Hey everyone, I've been following the disappearance of Chase Ingalls, and something I've been wondering about is the contents of his backpack. It's odd that everything was there except his phone. Why would someone planning a hike leave all their essentials behind, but take their phone? Did he plan to come back for his backpack, or did he need the phone for something specific? If foul play was involved, why wasn't the phone with the rest of his belongings? I think the phone could hold crucial clues—calls, texts, a GPS log. Has anyone heard if the authorities were able to track its last known location or if there's been any digital footprint since? It's puzzling and frustrating not having more info on that end. Thoughts?
