I’ve been following the case of Emmanuel Brice and something that really stuck with me was how young he was. Only 23 and so much life ahead of him. It’s just difficult to comprehend how someone can be there one moment and gone the next. I’ve noticed people talk a lot about the crime itself, but have we thought much about how his family is coping with such a sudden loss? Losing a loved one so abruptly must be incredibly difficult, especially in such tragic circumstances. I hope they’re finding some measure of support and comfort from the community in the wake of this tragedy. Miami has its issues with violence, but it’s moments like this that should bring us all together to support those left behind. Sending strength to everyone who knew and loved Emmanuel.
