I’ve been following Kemontae's case closely, and I can't stop thinking about the impact he had on his friends at Madison High. By all accounts, "Moneyred" was quite the basketball talent, often practicing late into the evening, which shows just how dedicated he was. It really makes you wonder how his ambitions and dreams would have unfolded if this senseless act hadn’t occurred. His teammates must be devastated, losing not just a friend, but a role model who inspired them to work hard and dream big. My heart truly aches for everyone who knew him, and I hope his light continues to shine through those who were lucky enough to know him. It’s vital we address these issues, so no other student has to experience such loss.

Hey everyone, I felt moved to share my thoughts after reading about Kemontae Deon Larry. While we've seen gun violence affect many communities, it really hits differently when it's someone so young, with their whole life ahead of them. I think about how Kemontae was not just a name in a report, but a real person with dreams, goals, and friends who cherished him. Seeing how the community united during his funeral at Tallulah Elementary tells us so much about the impact he had on those around him. It’s clear he was much loved and will be greatly missed. This case makes me think about the importance of community support in times like these. Maybe people talking, sharing memories, and supporting each other can also be a step towards healing and driving change. Anyone else from the area notice any efforts or discussions locally that aim to address the gun violence issue? It’d be nice to know if Kemontae’s unfortunate passing might lead to something positive, like initiatives to keep other kids safe. Thoughts?

Has anyone else heard about the vigil they held for Kemontae at Madison High? I attended, and it was incredibly moving. So many people turned up to share stories and memories of him. It’s amazing to see how deeply he touched everyone's lives in just 15 years. His friends spoke about his big dreams and how he was always the one to cheer everyone up, no matter what. Such senseless violence - it makes me sick thinking about how this could have been prevented. Kemontae had his whole life ahead of him, and it’s just beyond unfair. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this time. It’s important that we keep discussing gun violence and its impact until real change happens. Any thoughts on what steps the community might take next to push for that change?
