Has anyone else been following the efforts by Mayno Luis Castillo’s family to bring him back to Honduras? It's such a heavy situation. I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of pain and logistics they are dealing with right now. More than just mourning, they have these enormous financial hurdles to overcome to honor Mayno in the way he deserves. I read that they’ve started some fundraising activities. It shows such strength and dedication to ensure his memory is honored in his homeland. It’s overwhelming to think about having to navigate such a process while grappling with sudden loss. I truly hope the community continues to rally around them to provide both emotional and financial support. It also makes me think about how often victims' families are left to handle such huge burdens. It's a stark reminder of how crucial it is for more support systems to be in place for families affected by violence. Sending all my love to Mayno’s family and everyone pulling together to make sure he gets the farewell he deserves.
