Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Beverly and Carley Stokes from Mount Hermon, and I can't stop thinking about the community impact. Imagine living in a small town where everybody knows each other, and something like this happens. It must be so shocking and unsettling for everyone there. It makes me wonder what kind of support systems are available for the locals, especially when it comes to dealing with trauma from such events. Does anyone from the area know if there are community gatherings or vigils planned? Situations like this remind us how important it is to pull together and support each other. My heart goes out to the family and everyone dealing with this terrible loss. Would love to hear thoughts on how communities can cope together in times like this. Stay strong, Mount Hermon.

I can't stop thinking about what might have been going through Colby's mind that day. It's such a devastating situation for the entire Stokes family. Dealing with the loss of Beverly and Carley, who sounds like they were the pillars of their family, is unimaginable on its own. Add to that, having to process that the perpetrator is their grandson must be overwhelmingly painful. I know there were some mentions of Colby's mental health struggles and past criminal record. It makes me wonder about the support systems in place for people like him in such small communities. Were there any red flags that might have gone unnoticed? Or maybe there weren’t enough resources to help him? It's just such a heavy reminder of how mental health can impact not just the individual but entire families in such profound and, in this case, tragic ways. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this.
